A site for lots of math thinking and fun. My favorite for early to middle elementary grades is the game Math Lines. To play the game you have to shoot a ball to a target. The ball and target have to equal ten. It also involves a bit of strategy. If you have a 4 ready to shoot but there are no sixes. You can shoot your four so it lands next to another four. Later, if you get another six to shoot you can aim for the two fours and take them both out. I wish they had this game for other numbers besides ten. The main site is HERE and has many games to challenge students. Most of the games are thinking games not just skill or fact review. I wanted to include this link for students looking for a challenge. At the top of the game page is a small menu that includes arithmetic lessons. This section has basic addition, subtraction and place value lessons. There is also a pre-algebra section and a geometry link.
